Is our favorite monobrowed, Mexican painter a victim of fake knick knackery? A tempest in a teapot (did she do teapots!?), is raising questions of authenticity on Kahlo's personal affects and art works. She is said to have given a couple of suitcases filled with the this and thats to a 'trusted' woodcarver she knew. Here's to being genuine!

A rare Van Dyck self-portrait is going up for sale at Sotheby's.It is expected to bring in $4.78 million, a record breaking price for the artist. Could this collector be dumping a Van Dyck and looking for some $$$$? Compared to some of our unmentionable contemporaries, that's a bargain!
