Ron Warren, the right hand man of Mary Boone and well-known sock monkey enthusiast, is the subject of a 30 artist exhibit at the Mary Boone Gallery. Boone's gallery cultivated the careers of artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Julian Schnabel and Ross Bleckner is paying tribute to the man that helped make it all come true.
Boone says: “People who are smart know that there aren’t that many great galleries, and when a person leaves to start a new gallery, the artists aren’t always as loyal to that person as he thinks they’re going to be.”
